Overview[ | ]

  • Bio Lab is the 3rd map in Facility
  • Before waves 4 & 6 there are time limits, 1 minute each.
  • It starts with 300 Resources & 5+2 tower bases and after each wave the reward is 250 resources & 3 bases.
  • This map has 2 Violators.
  • The map has 6 fighting Explorer Conscripts, which will attack lumes when in range.
  • Lumes come from two directions in this level, unlike the previous level, Park which had one spawn point.
  • The lumes begin by spawning on the west side with the east side completely locked. At wave 3 the east side is open and lumes will not come from the west side.
  • This level has 7 scattered level 1 AR mines. They can be picked up and placed, and they deal damage to lumes, who step on them. (links in Youtube & Steam: [1], [2])

Trivia[ | ]

  • The map has the secret code 6XK56SD8 in the secret room, written on one of the computers below. It is related to the Elysian Archives, more specifically this one.
    • The original site with the archives has been shut down.
  • There is a secret area to the level, which is located to the right when leaving the core area. To access it, you need to find a red button, pressing F will open the door. It is possible to build & remove bases and towers from below.
  • The map has Easter eggs (link to them, including the secret, in Youtube: [1])

Notes & tactics[ | ]

  • This is a relatively easy level and most types of towers & weapons can do good job.
  • The Lightning is good against the beginning waves.
  • Weapons and towers with AoE or fast damage are good against the beginning waves (e.g. Rex, Battle rifle, Tesla; ACP, Rockets, Gatling).
  • The lumes' path to the core is quite short, so it's good to buy more time by distracting Walkers and Walker Warriors.
  • Slow-attack speed towers like Violator, Lightning or level 3 Cannons are generally unable to take Soakers alone by themselves and will do low damage if not assisted It is recommended to have some fast firing towers targeting them at the entrance of the maze or to target them manually with fast firing weapons to bloat them up. That way the heavy hitting towers will inflict greater damage on them.
  • The waves in this level are very mixed. It begins very swarm heavy so weapons & towers that do area damage is very useful in this level, but the pace will slowly get heavier until you approach the lume known as the Soaker.
  • The Violator is a very powerful tower with unique high range and when unlocked, is good in big spaces, where you can make a big maze to make sure lumes keep getting attacked. While upgrading them in this map is usually unnecessary, stacking numbers of them (e.g. for a total of 8 in the zone of the other two) can have a powerful effect.
  • At wave 3 It is fine to bring the lumes into the main room, so your Violators can also help (and any other tower you may have placed).
  • Wave 4 is relatively easy without any feats enabled. You can build on the side you want to dismiss or you can place more towers in the main room so they're always in use and assisting.
  • At wave 6 it is good to keep an eye on the Soaker, it has the most health in this wave and might slip by.
  • At wave 5 delaying the west will result in them arriving later, meaning you have more time to deal with the west lumes so you aren't in the main room with all of them together.
