Trivia[ | ]

  • The map has the secret code 52DG7DF2 above the minigame, which is on the high level platform above the core. It is related to the Elysian Archives, more specifically this one.
    • The original site with the archives has been shut down.
  • The map has some Easter eggs (link in Youtube: [1])

Notes & tactics[ | ]

  • The Anti-Air tower makes the map easier, since a single upgraded to level 3/overcharged one can kill all Spitflies even without the need of kiting
  • The Focus and the Violator tower can find good use on this level. However, the Focus should be used carefully, since it is better to not lose aim on the target and the Violator is better off used in the very first (closest) row in order to cover a big area and to deal damage even to things that happen to escape the maze
  • An useful strategy is to make a maze that has some more turns, so that the Rhinos cannot just charge straight and accelerate with quickly arriving to the end of the maze. On the other side, this doesn't help much for aiming at the Hoverers ' backs and should be done carefully, without too many turns.
  • The level is intermediately difficult if played with 5 Feats of Strength enabled. High weapon damage and some experience with the game can help, since the maze is away from the core. At level 40, the main weapon can be changed.
  • This level is the first one to include Hoverers, Rhinos and Spitflies among the enemies
  • Lightnings, put on the left or/and the right side in the maze can have great effect, dealing high damage to average lumes & killing some of the low-health ones, but also having good capability vs the heavy enemies. Even without specific support-tower assistance, 10-12 of them tend to keep high capability in this particular map even when it comes to the biggest difficulty in a 4-player coop Campaign (set to least health).
  • The Amp can be helpful for buffing cluster(s) of towers
  • The Core guardian perk can allow the player to do high damage while being semi-passive with some weapons, e.g. the Drone launcher, the Voltaic hand cannon. & Rex. However, like some other perks, this acts also as a restriction and the player misses the importance of kiting and positioning for weakspots/backs of Hoverers
  • The Voltaic hand cannon can be good when used at straight parts of the maze. Its secondary fire is good for seeking targets, but also is better vs Armoured Heavies if not being able to hit them in the weakspot.
  • All characters can do decent job in this map. Sweet can be great vs the crowds & Soakers while having a good survivability around Hoverers & Rhinos. Skye & Tsygan can do some job with their capabilities, although utilizing their damage can be trickier than with Sweet. Simo can be exceptional when it comes to the weakspots of Hoverers, Armoured heavies & Screamer matriarchs. However, he has to be used carefully, since he lacks the survivability around enemies, that other characters have. Haigen can find use of his stuff, but is risky to use around Hoverers & Rhinos.
  • Reinforcements can help to hold aggressive lumes
  • Weapon perks such as Tactical juxtaposition & Hollowpoint rounds tend to help greatly to deal with the enemies
