Overview[ | ]

  • The Shotgun is the primary weapon of Haigen Hawkins and cannot be changed for him before rank 40.
  • This weapon is unlocked at rank 20 for all characters to use as a secondary weapon and after rank 40 on they can use it as primary as well.
  • Fire modes
    • The primary fire shoots a hail of 9 pellets with high spread. The individual pellets deal more damage the closer the user is to the target, but if the player is too far from the enemy, even if a pellet hits, it would do no damage - this weapon has lower range than the other weapons.
    • The secondary fire charges the weapon to incorporate extra ammunition into the primary fire. The resultant shot still fires 9 pellets, but each pellet does significantly more (combined) damage. The pellets do damage based on how much ammunition is incorporated into the shot. Using the secondary fire to power up the primary fire can allow it to deal damage to lumes with 300 or more armour (Armoured Heavies, Super Heavies, Heavy Pups & curled Bliskeblaskes).


Notes & tactics[ | ]

  • The secondary fire can deal high bursty single-targeted damage and moderate to good dmg vs armoured lumes, although pressing on the primary is preferrable for higher DPS if the lumes don't have too much armour.
  • As a main weapon of Haigen, this weapon can serve well in SiMo's hands, too, since he can deal great crit damage with holding the secondary fire charged and aiming at weakspots from close.
  • Using the weapon with Hip Fire is mostly fine, since the weakspot dmg bonus is below 40%.
