Overview[ | ]

  • The Gate is the last (4th) level in Facility.
  • The time limits are before waves 4 & 7 - 1:15 min each.
  • There are 25 fighting Explorer Conscripts which will aid the player vs the lumes.
  • Near all spawn points there are some explosive barrels, that can deal considerable damage to nearby enemies and stun them.
  • The map has 7 scattered level 1 AR mines (links in Youtube & Steam: [1], [2]).
  • The resources given are 400 in the beginning and 300 after each wave.
  • The bases given are:
    • 12 in the beginning;
    • 10 after waves 2 & 3;
    • 7 after waves 3 & 4;
    • 6 after wave 5;
    • 4 after waves 6 & 7 for a total of 62.

Trivia[ | ]

  • There is a group of 5 Explorer Conscripts crying near the mine location on the far east of the core who won't attack any lumes.
  • The map has some Easter Eggs (link to youtube: [1])

Notes & tactics[ | ]

  • The map has three ramps that lead to the core so it is advised to close off two ramps so you only have to deal with one entrance. Also building a maze to force all lumes to take a similar path will give you the best value out of the towers you build.
  • AR-Mines are good on this level. Not only they can help vs the swarms and heavier enemies, but they also can be utilized to kill the boss much faster
  • It's advisable to focus on upgrading towers over building multiple of them for this level, although some towers (Friendship lasers, Lightnings, Violators & Cannons) don't have too much trouble when stacked.
  • The swarms of little things can be managed well by using AoE towers (e.g. ACP, Rocket) and rapid-fire ones (Gatling, Scatter Laser). AoE and Rapid-fire weapons also can do great job.
  • This map is harder than the previous levels as it comes without already put tower bases and no towers. However, does come with more overall resources and tower bases income.
  • Snorkers will self-detonate at the core or at a player doing moderate damage, so it is good keep your distance.
  • Runners will go straight forwards the core, ignoring any player but are very fast.
  • In wave 5 an Armoured Heavy is the first lume to spawn so it is good damaging it or even killing at the west entrance first. The second Armoured Heavy spawns very late into the wave. These enemies are vulnerable from the back (the red field)
  • In wave 6 the Soaker will spawn first on the west side of the map followed by the Walkers shortly after. The second Soaker will spawn much later into the wave.
  • In wave 7 there are 3 high-health enemies in one wave and will be the most difficult wave so far of this level.
  • The boss (a Walker Patriarch) spawns on the western front and is more likely to get aggressive to the player, if within close range
